With its historic streets, magnificent cathedral and Roman ruins, St Albans is frequently used by filmmakers for films and TV series.

2005 fantasy film by Tim Burton Charlie and the chocolate factory starring Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka was partly filmed at Hatfield House.
The Hertfordshire stately home doubled for the interior of the Veruca Salt family mansion.
