Does she know her first name is Hannah? What is a battle flag? That she is the daughter of freedom fighter June Osborne (formerly known as the servant Offred), who is the eternal thorn in the side of a repressive male theocracy called Gilead? Does Hannah know that she is one of the most interesting and enigmatic characters on television?

No, no, of course not. But maybe?

In the ongoing (and often exhausting) power struggle of the political sphere “The Handmaid’s Tale”, 12-year-old Hannah (Jordana Blake), who has been renamed Agnes by her adoptive parents in Gilead, is the ultimate pawn. Gilead and his proxy, Serena Joy (Yvonne Strahovski), use the child they stole from June (Elisabeth Moss) to control her. But Hannah’s hope – the dream of saving her – is also what keeps June in fighting shape and is the common thread that leads her back to the country she escaped from. It makes sense that in a world where children (or lack thereof) can make or break an entire nation, a single little girl could stoke the fires of resurrection. Hannah is the Infinity Stone and the Iron Throne in one: he who has it, has the power.

So it also makes sense to give Hannah more work. For a character who represents so much, she has only existed for the past four seasons. But the script could switch.

In its fifth season, Hulu’s “The Handmaid’s Tale,” based on Margaret Atwood’s classic feminist tome, seems to have passed its own shock value. Audiences have seen Gilead at its worst time and time again — the ritualized rape, the waterboarding, the poisoning, the ripping people apart with their bare hands — and devising new ways to physically brutalize women on screen is not neither revolutionary nor enlightening. So, instead of watching conflicting ideologies face off in the arena, the series shifted to chess.

“Season 5 is all about that spirit of play,” executive producer Warren Littlefield told TVLine.

The two main players are clear: June against Serena Joy. Most allegiances are murky in “The Handmaid’s Tale,” but for these two women who have walked the multiverse together for the past five years, it’s all just hate. And at the center of the standoff between them is Hannah. Always Hannah.

“I’m sorry I don’t have it,” June says to her husband, Luke (OT Fagbenle), when the pair are finally reunited after her rescue in Season 4. “I’m sorry, it’s just me.”

In Season 5, June struggles with those last three words – “it’s just me” – and finds they won’t. Even after facing no criminal consequences for the murder of her rapist (and Serena’s husband), Commander Fred Waterford (Joseph Fiennes), June still can’t shake Gilead and forget about the child left behind. Who could? Her youngest daughter, Nichole – whom she had with former Waterfords driver Nick (Max Minghella) – is being raised safely in Canada by Luke and Moira (Samira Wiley), two of the best-fit co-parents with PTSD . on the planet. But June cannot feel settled or free. Hannah won’t let her – and neither will Serena.

‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ used to feel provocative. In Season 4, it’s just exhausting.

Wednesday’s episode, “Dear Offred,” begins with a stranger approaching June and Nichole at the park. It’s a happy mother-daughter party until it’s not – June never really has one. The woman, who appears to be childless, says to June, “You are so lucky to be in Gilead. Now you have this beautiful, precious and healthy little angel. Unsurprisingly, the rest of their exchange does not go well. It’s an example of how June’s identity as a mother will never be divorced from the trauma she experienced in Gilead, whether it came from the daughter the country gave her (forced, really) and the girl he stole.

In the second season episode, “Ballet,” we finally got a glimpse of what Hannah has become. June hasn’t seen since her eldest since Gilead used the preteen to force June to reveal the secret location of her fellow maids on the run. In this scene, Hannah, trapped in a glass box with the Gilead eye stamped into the concrete floor and dressed in a soft pink shift, plays with a doll and even laughs, seemingly indifferent to her stark lodgings. She is only outwardly frightened when June, tired of the torture, approaches the cage. Fast forward a year and Hannah doesn’t seem to be afraid of anything anymore.

On screen for less than a minute, “Ballet” is Hannah’s coming out.

In an expertly choreographed funeral ceremony, Serena marches through the streets of Gilead dressed as a mob widow. A group of young girls joins the parade in a tableau torn from the pages of “Madeline” children’s books, little girls in two straight lines. The group breaks up and there she is: Hannah. Her natural curls combed back to tuck under an unnecessary pillbox hat with her body completely wrapped in a wool coat, she stares straight ahead like a child soldier on the front lines. Hannah turns to face the camera, and the world and her parents, watching from a public square in Canada, see her clearly as daylight. But does she go all the way or does she know more? Will we know one day?

Atwood fans have already read “The Testaments,” the 2019 sequel to “The Handmaid’s Tale” that spanned more than three decades. There’s a main character/narrator in this book who could provide more backstory to Hannah’s life at Gilead, and the team behind the Hulu series said Atwood’s second work would be a roadmap. to find out where the show goes from here. But the show and Atwood have diverged in necessary ways. If TV’s June may be closer to the superhero, then who’s to say her daughter wouldn’t follow?

Each season we get a glimpse of how life has changed for Hannah over the years. It ranges from the girl who was torn from June’s arms as the couple tried to flee to Canada at the start of the military coup, to the young woman (if you can call a 12-year-old) who seems be that of Gilead. In a world that seems so dark and unchanging, Hannah marked the passage of time.

“What was she wearing?” What was that color? June asks in the episode “Border”, as she knows how important symbols are in Gilead, a place that seems stripped of color but yet delights in categorizing its women with it. Moira isn’t sure, maybe “plum” or “violet.”

“It’s not rosy, though. She’s not a little girl anymore,” Moira adds unnecessarily. Later, June’s former lover and man on the inside, Nick, confirms that it’s purple and that “it means she’s ready.” There is a new school for the daughters of high commanders who are preparing to become wives. Despite this punch, Nick claims that Hannah will be safe and that she is “tough” like June. What is this supposed to do in Gilead? When have there ever been women rewarded for their tenacity?

As a character, Hannah is fascinating because she represents so much. Is she happy like Nick would have June believe, settled in the upper class of Gilead with a family that really loves him? Or is she a ticking time bomb – a girl who knows more than she lets on, like the kid from past seasons who remembered June and asked her why she hadn’t done more effort to find her, to fight for her?

The battle of wills between Serena and June, two traumatized women who have the power to end each other, certainly makes for good television. Women squaring off is at least a pause to watch more men do what men do with absolute power. But it’s the war raging inside Hannah that deserves the most attention because the show hopefully spends less time showing us how adults like to carve each other and more about the children they claim to care about.

Potion Permit takes you to the island and the small town of Moonbury. The place is home to many colorful characters, although you’ll soon find that most of them don’t particularly like chemists, which means they don’t particularly like you. You can expect to be openly grilled on the streets by townspeople throughout the tutorial period.

Related: Potion License Exam – A Chemist’s Life For Me

Eventually people will start to open up to you, you’ll find a host of quirky and lovable characters to get to know and relate to. They all have hidden depths, and intertwining more in their lives is part of the job.

GAME VIDEO OF THE DAY

ten Forest

The aptly named Forrest is one of Moonbury’s two rangers, along with Bubble. It can usually be found around the post at the edge of Meadow Range. One of the first NPCs you’re likely to meet, Forrest explains the ins and outs of the Wild Areas, not wanting to have to rescue injured chemists from the woods at night. He is dedicated to his job, but he is also very willing to give you a chance.

When he finds out that someone stole the ranger station and left potion stains around, he immediately accepts your refusal and asks for your help in catching the thief. A good guy.

9 Russian

Russo is one of two children who live in Moonbury. While the other (Lauren) has a family, Russo is an orphan and was raised by the local vicar, Sister Socellia. This rocky start in life has given Russo a more brutal edge over his personality, and he’ll threaten to fight you if you cross paths with someone dear to him.

His tough streak doesn’t mean Russo is a delinquent. In fact, he thinks he’s a detective and recruits you and a reluctant Dean to help him solve his first case. You are his assistant, of course, while he is the boss.

8 Martha

Martha works at the Lazy Bowl Tavern and is one of the people in Moonbury who will warm up first. She shows up at your house to give you Moon Cloves, a traditional gift from the town, and suggests you try using the gift to make friends.

Related: Potion License: Beginner Tips

She’s also a fairly generous person, if she’s distracted enough that it sometimes gets in the way of her good intentions. She can be found handing out cookies that she accidentally doused in garlic, which most people wouldn’t dare to mention. At least she tries.

seven Leano

With the proper accent and a hook for a hand, Leano brags about being a pirate in his previous career. These days, she’s docked her boat in Moonbury for good, setting up a seaside fishing shop and cafe with Ottmar.

Leano has a passion for fishing. She’s happy to help you get started with angling and will even have Reyner upgrade your fishing rod to help you out. For a would-be pirate, she seems much more concerned with sharing things than taking them away.

6 runeheart

Runeheart is a buff apprentice blacksmith with a fierce temper. Given her outlook, she isn’t initially thrilled with your arrival and quickly calls you a spoiled brat with too many titles.

There’s more to the young lady than that, however. She works at Hearts and Sparks, the town’s forge, under the mentorship of her mother, Opalheart. It’s not always an easy relationship. Much of Runeheart’s anger stems from frustration, as her mother often rates her performance as inferior to hers. She can often be found blowing off steam at the tavern after work, being too competitive at darts.

5 Ottmar

Perhaps one of the scariest residents of Moonbury at first glance, Leano’s assistant, Ottmar, is actually just a big teddy bear. He may not be the most spirited villager, but he makes up for it with his benevolent nature. He cooks fish for Kipps the cat. He also makes extremely strong nets that everyone desperately needs, and that will help you eliminate the landslide in Meadow Range.

Although his work is extremely popular, he doesn’t seem to care about rising prices. He mostly wants things for coffee. What a nice boy.

4 Victor

Another initially unsettling citizen, Victor is the caretaker of the local tomb, an aesthetic close to his heart. He has a few imaginary friends and tends to walk around town laughing to himself. That’s not to say he’s not a caring individual, however, he cares deeply about insects of all kinds and discourages you from killing invasive mites after helping identify them.

Victor is rather upset to discover that your dog is able to dig, feeling troubled that someone else in town has this skill. Maybe he is afraid that the dog will end up taking his job.

3 Zeke

A mysterious old man who lives in a tent on the outskirts of town, Zeke is so much more than meets the eye. Supposedly, he was once a successful merchant in the capital, although something drove him to his poverty-stricken situation.

Although Zeke is not well off, he is lively and tries to spend what he has wisely. He cares deeply for his cat, Kipps, and will spend everything he has trying to make sure she has treats every week. Making sure she has enough to eat is probably why he fishes almost every day.

2 Kipp’s

Who doesn’t want to be friends with a cat? Unlike real-life cats, Kipps’ opinion of you is not arbitrary and you can win his affections. Kipps is Zeke’s beloved cat. She roams the city when she’s not hanging out with her owner. While Zeke would rather people not feed her unsupervised, as she has a few food allergies, she does like certain grilled fish.

Kipps is very attached to Zeke, and will find him if he leaves her too long. This can make monitoring her a difficult exercise for him.

1 Your dog

Who is a good boy? This boy, no doubt. Your dog is not only adorable, he is also a great help in your job as the town chemist. He can dig things up and find items for you, he can even lead you to NPCs. NPC research alone makes him the most useful helper you could hope for. Watching him get sad when he hasn’t been fed is truly a heartbreaking experience, and not letting him sleep in the house will probably fill you with guilt. At least you can buy him some steaks for the Lazy Bowl.

The return of Black Bolt, Daredevil, and Kingpin to the Marvel Cinematic Universe is a clear indication that Marvel Studios is happy to revisit some previous TV shows that fans have come to love. Among the releases are the likes of Cloak and dagger, runaways, The saga of the defenders, Agents of SHIELD, Inhumans, and Agent Carter. This does not take into account FOX shows such as Legion and the gifted who has built a strong fan base.

With some of the shows easily fitting into the broader MCU canon and others surely part of the multiverse, it seems to be a question of if rather than when many of these faces will appear. The casting process was so flawless in many cases that it would be hard to imagine anyone else taking on the roles.

VIDEO OF THE DAY

Cloak and Dagger

Ty Johnson and Tandy Bowen, played by Aubrey Joseph and Olivia Holt respectively, are the heroes known as Cloak and Dagger. Their fates have intertwined, as not only do they become significant love interests, but their very powers sync perfectly.

RELATED: Every MCU Disney+ TV Show So Far, Ranked According To IMDb

The series introduced audiences to these characters onscreen for the first time and concluded a narrative that saw them truly explore their relationship with their newfound abilities and partnership together. If Cloak and Dagger were to be brought to the MCU, the duo are already iconic in the roles, with viewers immediately buying into their portrayal of these teenage heroes. There cannot be one without the other.

The Punisher

While other characters from Frank Castle’s surrounding life were perfectly represented, with the likes of Jigsaw and Micro worthy of another screen shot, it was Jon Bernthal’s titular Punisher who stole the show in each scene. The gritty portrayal of the violent vigilante was absolutely mastered by the veteran actor.

While any reappearance of the actor deserves to be in an R-Rated movie, there’s no denying there’s a real challenge to portraying the complex character and Bernthal more than lived up to expectations. It somehow balances the sweetness and humanity of Frank with the bloody revenge of his alter ego.

Legion

David Haller’s journey began and ended in Legion, which followed the mutant’s struggles with the Shadow King, which had such a huge impact on his hold on reality. As the son of Professor Xavier, Legion is one of the most powerful mutants in the universe, but he’s also very fragile.

The fantastic Dan Stevens managed to bring this duality to life, and it’s hard to imagine anyone else making this lesser-known character as important as him. There are many ways to bring the mutant to the MCU, and the recognizable Stevens would bring such a creative touch to the piece.

Sister Grimm

The group known as runaways was perfectly cast. There’s a case to be made for each of the main cast to be brought into the MCU. However, there was one standout on the show whose power and portrayal make him a strong contender for future roles.

RELATED: 9 Filler Episodes Of MCU TV Shows That Are Still Awesome

Nico Minoru doubled as the hero Sister Grimm, who lived in the darkest magics of the MCU. Lyrica Okano really made the character her own and added layers that even comic book fans might not have expected. Sher apparently has great chemistry with everyone she works with and could be brilliant alongside Wong and Doctor Strange.

Jessica Jones

Jessica Jones’ allies and antagonists, Hellcat and Purple Man, respectively, would really benefit from keeping the same cast seen throughout the Netflix shows. However, no one can bring as much depth to Jessica Jones as Kristen Ritter.

Although the actor continued to make his screen presence felt with additional roles that only added to his stardom, just like with other high-profile defenders, nothing replaces Ritter. Fans are looking forward to opportunities where the character could reappear in the near future, as Ritter’s popularity as Jones is undeniable.

Polaris

the gifted is perhaps the most underrated series ever produced under the Marvel name. It ran for a few seasons and tackled huge storylines with notable characters like Warpath and Blink. These players should be taken into account in the future, especially since there are easy ways to integrate the group through the multiverse.

If mutants are going to happen, Polaris should be among them, played by Emma Dumont. As Magneto’s daughter, Lorna Dane has many of the same abilities as her father. Her relationship with Scarlet Witch would be fascinating to explore, but the control and authority Dumont brings to the role is vital. The way she contrasts this with surprising vulnerability makes her an expert like Polaris.

Luke Cage

Luke Cage is another prominent member of The Defenders and has formed a great relationship with the rest of the cast. It would be unimaginable to see anyone else play the role, as Mile Colter brought such enthusiasm, intensity, charisma and humility to the role.

RELATED: 10 Supporting Characters From The MCU TV Show Who Should Be Main Characters

He was set to take the role in a new direction, as the frontman of a club in Harlem, and there are other avenues like Heroes for Hire that have yet to be explored. Colter would be such an easy choice for the rest of the MCU, with his talents really speaking for themselves.

Electra

Although there are always rumors of the main cast being replaced, Elodie Yung has proven herself time and time again as an Elektra assassin. She was an important part of the Defenders saga and brought real fire to both the character’s physics in combat and the chemistry with Daredevil himself.

Yung was the comic character who came to life and although she was apparently killed, that didn’t stop her before. Elektra would be a prime candidate for the Thunderbolts and if Marvel Studios were to make that choice, they would be hard pressed to find a replacement who possesses Elodie Yung’s emotional range.

Daughters of the Dragon

It might sound like cheating, but much like Cloak and Dagger, it’s not really Daughters of the Dragon without Colleen Wing and Misty Knight teaming up. Jessica Henwick is a rising star and is often said to be the high point of Iron fist. The character was given the power of the Immortal Iron Fist; a believable event due to the incredible Henwick in the role.

Misty Knight is an iconic comic book character and demanded that the right person take what was on the page while making it their own. From the way she performed against Luke Cage and Colleen Wing, to the way she navigated the cop sequences so well, Simone Missick is an unstoppable force that has earned her multiple appearances. Neither needs to be replaced.

earthquake

If the team that made up the remnants of SHIELD were to get a second chance, it’s impossible to imagine them without all the heavy hitters. The cast was superb with the likes of Mack, Yo-Yo, Coulson, The Cavalry and FitzSimmons all deserving of future guest appearances.

Even the extended cast like Ghost Rider deserves more screen time, but the heart and soul of the show was Chloe Bennet as Daisy Johnson or the hero Quake. The gifted actress became a superstar because of the show and would be a valuable asset to the MCU at large, bringing a unique set of skills to the table.

Spy x Family is one of the hottest shonen anime series around, and it returns in October for another action-packed season of Cold War-inspired adventures and wholesome family moments. It is the story of spy Westalis Twilight, the mysterious man who must uncover the precious secrets of the government of Ostania with the help of his newfound family – his new wife, Yor, and his new daughter, Anya.

RELATED: 10 Coolest Berserk Characters, Ranked

It’s one of the coolest and most memorable anime series to come out in years, and fans just can’t get enough of this slick story and cool characters. In fact, while fans might debate who’s better Spy x Family Overall, it’s easy to see which characters from this series are the coolest and why fans love them so much.

ten Damian Desmond is under pressure to succeed

So far bratty tsundere Damian Desmond isn’t very cool, but at least the “boss man” is trying. This young boy can be a jerk at times, but ultimately, he’s a likeable figure. His distant and demanding father, Donovan, is hard to please and expects perfection from his son.

Damian tries to act cool, at least, and his two buddies think he’s totally rad. Damian projects an air of smug confidence wherever he goes, but he tends to crumble when pink-haired Anya Forger teases him or blasts him with “heh”.

9 Becky Blackbell is Anya’s supporter and friend.

There’s a limit to how cool a little kid can be, even in anime, but there’s no denying that Becky Blackbell is a pretty cool kid after all. She’s a tough but fair young girl who became Anya’s first real friend at the elite Eden Academy, and she regularly stands up for her bullying friend.

There’s not much else to say about Becky just yet, but so far, Spy x Family fans can tell that her parents raised her well. She is a noble, helpful and courageous child who will surely be a prominent member of society when she graduates from school.

8 Bond The Dog has super-canine powers

The giant white dog known as Bond is due to appear very soon in the Spy x Family anime in October, and fans will love this canine hero. Bond has powers beyond any dog or human, but no one understands or appreciates what he can do. Except for Anya, of course.

RELATED: The 10 Coolest One Piece Characters, Ranked

Bond is the perfect pet, a loyal, kind, and brave beast who rewards Anya’s kindness with acts of heroism when no human can do the job. He also has his more human side, being afraid of Yor’s terrible cooking and seeing Anya as his true friend and equal.

seven Franky Franklin can make it all up

One of Loid Forger’s most trusted allies is fellow WISE agent Franky Franklin. Even though Franky has minimal fighting skills and lacks Loid’s cool charisma, Franky makes up for it with his creative mind and grounded thinking. And he shares Loid’s ability to blend into Ostanian society.

Franky can invent or tinker with just about anything, and even though half of his inventions are nonsense, it’s still impressive and fun to watch too. And it was Franky who helped put together this incredible Spy Wars storyline to this castle in a filler episode, complete with traps and himself as the villain.

6 Sylvia Sherwood is Loid’s beautiful and cool

Very little is known about Sylvia Sherwood personally, but even so she has established herself as one of the Spy x Familythe coolest characters of all. Like Loid, Sylvia is a cool, smart professional who always puts the mission first, and her confidence is intoxicating.

RELATED: The 10 Coolest Jujutsu Kaisen Characters, Ranked

Sylvia is not only a cool and smart manager in the WISE agency, but she also has a stylish personality and good looks. She looks timeless and chic with her wide brimmed hat, black leggings and sleek black dress over a white collared shirt. It’s a charming and vaguely intimidating look at her.

5 Yuri Briar works for the SSS

Yor’s little brother, Yuri, is what’s called a sis-con, or someone with a sister complex. It’s the source of much of Yuri’s comic relief in the series, like his eagerness to gobble down Yor’s terrible food or butt heads with his new brother-in-law, Loid Forger.

But Yuri also has his cool side. He is intimidating, gentle, and confident as an SSS agent, rising through the ranks with his unwavering loyalty to the Ostanian cause. He has a menacing aura and interrogation skills beyond his years, which is both cool and impressive. He’d rather you not see that side of him, though.

4 Housemaster Henry Henderson calls for elegance

Housemaster Henry Henderson expects a lot from the students of Eden Academy, and he’ll bring the hammer down on anyone who tarnishes this school’s reputation with rowdiness, low grades, or other misbehavior. But he’s also fair, and Henry no doubt has a refined taste in art.

RELATED: The 10 Coolest Bleach Characters, Ranked

Above all, Henry Henderson is cool because he always stands up for what’s right, even if it means punching mean teachers. He is also passionate about elegance, and it’s not just a running gag. It’s admirable, and it makes it kind of cool too. He could inspire Spy x Family fans to be more stylish in their own lives too.

3 Anya Forger is a pint-sized hero

The famous peanut-loving telepathic heroine, Anya Forger, is definitely the coolest kid in the world. Spy x Family and one of the best anime characters overall. She may be bad at studies and acts like a total brat, but Anya also has the brave heart of a superhero and a desire to make everyone happy,

Anya can’t help but dazzle fans with her enthusiasm for larger-than-life spy adventures, her tough-but-friendly demeanor, and her boundless optimism. She’s impressionable, funny, and always ready to try something new, although she can be overwhelmed at first. She’s a great kid overall.

2 Yor Forger is the deadly Princess Thorn

Yor Forger, Loid’s new wife, is probably the most popular Spy x Family character of all, and it is easy to see why. This ultra-cool action heroine has it all, from her charming, down-to-earth beauty and wholesome personality to her amusing flaws and deadly Ostanian assassin skills.

Yor is impressive and even frightening when she serves as Anya’s protective mother bear against all threats. She’s much stronger and faster than her appearance suggests, and she can punch a hole in a wall if it’s for Anya’s protection. She also has an adorable side that makes fans want to protect her in return.

1 Loid Forger is a super handsome spy and the best dad

The protagonist himself, Twilight/Loid Forger, is one of the coolest anime characters out there. Like his assassin wife, he’s a super cool elite agent who can still get the job done, but he’s also charming and vulnerable with his domestic life, especially when his new brother-in-law, Yuri, grills him.

Loid can easily steal the scene with his good looks, excellent taste in menswear, elite skills, and thrilling spy antics. Any episode is a good episode when Loid takes center stage doing something cool as a WISE spy, wholesome foster dad, or both.

Like a dragon: Ishin! is one of the most eclectic games in like a dragon series, thanks to it featuring feudal-era versions of various characters from the series. After its surprise announcement, the game will finally leave Japan for the first time. This samurai-flavored entry looks to bring a different kind of experience to players while using some familiar faces.

Like a dragon: Ishin! was originally released in 2014, but never received a release outside of Japan. It follows the story of real-life historical character Ryoma Sakamoto, who is depicted in the game with the appearance of Kazuma Kiryu. Adapting to the setting of feudal Japan, the game adds swordplay and other deadly fighting styles to the series’ signature punches. A Like a dragon: Ishin! The trailer confirmed the upcoming remake, which will include new features and characters that weren’t in the original, providing a new and improved version of the game for its international release.

The first thing that will likely catch most fans’ eyes is the resemblance that many of the characters have to characters from the Yakuza series. Ryoma’s resemblance to Kiryu has already been noted, but he’s far from the only one. For example, the captain of the Shinsengumi, Soji Okita, is played by Goro Majima, the savage, knife-wielding deuteragonist from the main series. While their names may not sound like the characters playing their roles, the likenesses are impossible for fans of the show to ignore. Although Judgement inherited Yakuzaaction gameplay, Ishin! brings its own flavor to the long-running franchise formula.

Like a dragon: Ishin! Uses many faces from past games

As to why Ishin! uses the appearances of former characters from the series, there are two good reasons for this. On the one hand, the similarities with the past Yakuza characters help tie Ishin! to the series, despite its spin-off status. The remake actually goes a step further than before by incorporating character likenesses that didn’t exist at the time of the original release, like Shibusawa from Yakuza 0 and Adachi from Yakuza: like a dragon. These familiar faces can help fans get into the new story, similar to Kiryu’s return in Yakuza: like a dragon helped attract old fans to experience this game’s new style of play.

Another reason to use characters from the show to portray the cast of Ishin! is to link them implicitly to the characters they embody. This works in an effort to mirror the original as well as color the player’s perception of said character. For example, Shintaro Nakaoka is played by Detective Makoto Date, letting the player know what to expect from him. This narrative trick can be used to tell the audience about a character’s nature, but it can also be used to play against audience expectations, similar to Volo’s role in Pokemon Legends: Arceuswhich was quite different from that of its implied ancestor Cynthia.

Using the likenesses of well-known characters from the series, Ishin! is able to bridge the gap to bring fans into a whole new type of story. This can be a useful strategy when trying something new for a series, and it’s mostly a draw for existing fans. When Like a dragon: Ishin! is released in 2023, players will be able to see how well these characters compare to their counterparts.

As She-Hulk continuing to unfold Jennifer Walter’s story on Disney+, the series began its arc from her lucky survival in an accident that led to her becoming the titular protagonist. Although Jen was lucky to get away with it, there were characters with an even better case of luck.

It ranges from Tony Stark surviving in space against all odds to rescuing Scott Lang from a rat. Luck has usually been the key factor for characters to get through any conflicts they’ve been involved in, so it’s interesting to see which benefited the most and in what way.

VIDEO OF THE DAY

ten Tony Stark

Most of the funniest quotes from the first phase of the MCU came from Tony, which wouldn’t have been possible if he hadn’t been lucky enough to survive the near-fatal attack on him in the first movie. . Tony was definitely a genius, but he needed luck to avoid close shaves.

This includes falling through the portal to Earth, just in time, rather than being trapped in space in The Avengers and be rescued by Captain Marvel in deep space Avengers: Infinity War. His luck also showed up when Pepper, Rhodey, and Happy were all saved from Thanos’ Snap, meaning Tony didn’t lose as much during the Blip.

9 Steve Rogers

Fans on Twitter were recently abuzz about Captain America due to She-Hulkwho revealed that he had different luck during a USO tour in 1943. But the character was lucky overall, such as when he survived decades due to landing on a well-placed ice, and when he was rescued by Bucky from the wreckage of the Helicarrier when he should have died.

Steve’s greatest stroke of luck came from the time travel the Infinity Stones provided for him, which allowed him to travel back in time to be with his long-lost lover, Peggy Carter. He had to endure a lot, but Steve was lucky enough to smile at him overall.

8 Kate Bishop

Kate Bishop was far from trained during Hawk Eye and above all survived thanks to luck. This included her many drops being broken by material luckily placed along the way and her random use of trick arrows which turned out to be exactly what she wanted at the time.

Kate eventually became skilled enough to fight on her own, but she needed things to fall into place to make that happen. In fact, Kate was lucky enough to be in the Ronan Suit Auction that got her involved in the whole thing, meaning her transformation into a hero is down to chance.

seven Korg

MCU fans generally see Korg as something of a walking meme, with the character involved in a lot of hilarity. But that wouldn’t have been possible if he hadn’t been lucky enough to survive. Thor: Love and Thunder nearly saw him killed by Zeus, only for the latter to conveniently miss Korg’s face, which was the only thing keeping him alive.

Korg was also lucky to find himself with Thor on Sakaar, without which he could never have escaped. Korg’s biggest stroke of luck was when Thanos chose not to execute him and allowed him to escape while the other half of the ship was the unfortunate slain.

6 Happy Hogan

Happy was able to maintain his life and livelihood due to the intervention of other factors. He was nearly killed by Justin Hammer’s forces in iron man 2 until Black Widow rescued him, was also able to survive in iron man 3 while being plunged into an artificial coma and kept his job Spider-Man: Homecoming thanks to the efforts of the titular protagonist.

Happy’s loyalty to his friends is absolute, and he only got into sticky situations because he was watching them. Still, he wouldn’t have gotten this far if his allies hadn’t been in the right place to save him, though Happy is now on his own after losing his memories of Peter after Tony and May died.

5 James Rhodes

Rhodey is one of the most effective characters in terms of combat, but even he needed luck to survive. He was lucky when Tony came to his rescue by iron man 3the climax just as he was about to be taken down, when his fall into Captain America: Civil War was fortunately cushioned by his armour, and when he was saved from drowning in Avengers: Endgame by Ant-Man.

Rhodey’s good fortune was evident when he was one of the half of the universe that didn’t perish in Thanos’ Snap, in addition to not being selected to go to Vormir when he was so close. to make the trip that he would most likely be dead.

4 Clint Barton

Clint has had many close calls over his time that have kept him going so far. In The Avengers, he was lucky not to be killed by Loki in the opening and somehow escaped his mind control when there seemed to be no way. Clint also survived Avengers: Age of Ultron thanks to the practical presence of the regeneration cradle.

Clint’s luck continued when Quicksilver stood in his way to take the bullets he would have died for, while Black Widow sacrificed herself for him in Avengers: Endgame. Although Clint sadly lost his family in the Snap, he was also lucky that they all came back for him to reunite his family.

3 Baby Groot

Baby Groot would easily be dead upon opening Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 his friends hadn’t spotted him near peril each time and rescued him. He was also lucky that the Mutinous Ravagers decided to not only let him live, but to roam freely, allowing Groot to save Rocket and Yondu.

Baby Groot’s existence itself is a fluke as he turned out to be the sapling that Rocket salvaged from the original Groot’s remains. He wasn’t so lucky when he was older when he fell victim to the Snap, but his baby form survived infancy thanks to luck on his side.

2 Loki Laufeyson

Loki is widely regarded as one of the best villains in the MCU, with the character having moments that would have killed anyone else. Loki’s luck was visible when he survived falling into the chasm Thor, and though he lost in the Battle of New York and was taken captive by Asgard, he at least had a comfortable prison.

Loki’s luck showed up again when he fell in Sakaar rather than die, where he gained favor from the Grand Master. While the original Loki died at the hands of Thanos, the character was once again lucky when his variant escaped with the Space Stone and found reprieve with the Time Variance Authority to redeem himself. .

1 Scott Lang

Scott is by far the luckiest MCU character to have gone through impossible odds to regain his freedom and his family and save the universe. He was initially lucky when he escaped from the Quantum Realm, which had previously trapped Janet van Dyne for 30 years.

Scott’s greatest luck shone upon him when a rat opened the portal to the Quantum Realm where he had been trapped – time only passed a few hours for him compared to five years like everyone else. Scott was lucky his family survived the Snap, and his good fortune gave him the idea for the Time Heist which eventually brought back everyone who had been killed by Thanos.

Following several big announcements about major upcoming events star wars projects during the Lucasfilm panel at this year’s D23 Expo, one of the most notable projects that fans considered was the Tales of the Jedi trailer, which was shown on the panel. Following the release of the trailer, several new images have been revealed that offer a deeper look at some fan-favorite characters from the franchise.

The first image shows Count Dooku standing next to Mace Windu as they fight side by side in the midst of a battle. Showing the relationship between the two before Dooku’s downfall could be a fascinating insight into the two characters. Given what is already known about Dooku’s fate, his episodes will likely focus on the darker side of the character during his youth. With the appearance of a young Qui-Gon Jinn in the series, fans will finally be able to fully explore the dynamic between the two characters in action, which has been heavily talked about since the release of attack of the clones.

COLLIDER VIDEO OF THE DAY

Several images also feature Ahsoka Tano as both a small child and a teenager. Given the information provided in the trailer, episodes focused on the character will chronicle her early childhood, before she became a Jedi, and her training by her master, Anakin Skywalker. However, her episodes will feature plenty of action as she can be seen wielding her green lightsaber during her intense training sessions.

However, one of the most striking images that will captivate fans is a Sith character wielding a rotating double-bladed lightsaber similar to those wielded by the franchise’s Imperial-era Inquisitors. Needless to say, with such a striking character design, it will come as no surprise that the character eventually becomes a fan favorite within the Star Wars community. It’s still unclear who the character is, but fans won’t have to wait long as the series is set to debut on streaming later next month.

Tales of the Jedi will focus on and parallel the Jedi journeys of Ahsoka Tano and a young Count Dooku as they both navigate the ultimate tests that will determine their fates. Watching the two characters’ journeys develop will create a nice contrast to each other, especially when compared to their characterizations in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. David Filoniwho previously worked on Star Wars: The Clone Wars, will be the creator of Tales of the Jedi and executive produced alongside Carrie Beck and Athena Portillo. With Filoni bringing another star wars A project using the same With Clone-Wars style animation, Tales of the Jedi could be an exciting series to check out when it debuts next month.

The six short episodes of Tales of the Jedi will debut on Disney+ on October 26. Check out the official trailer and new images for the upcoming series below:

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is full of villains or characters who could become villains, and Episode 3 introduced a new one into the mix: Adar.

After the two-episode drama premiere on September 2, Slivan Elf Arondir (Ismael Cruz Córdova) was captured and his attackers were revealed in the series’ third episode, also titled “Adar.”

Here’s everything you need to know about the character and what his future might entail on the Prime Video show.

Who is Adar? Explanation of the character of “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power”

An Orc who is revealed to be one of Adar’s disciples in “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” Episode 3. The series is full of villains.
Ben Rothstein/First video

power rings is based on the iconic fantasy books by JRR Tolkien and is set in the Second Age of Middle-earth, when Sauron came to power and created the titular Rings, as well as the One Ring.

Adar is another new Middle-earth character who was created by showrunners JD Payne and Patrick McKay for the purposes of the series. That means there’s a lot of potential when it comes to his villainous ways.

The character is mentioned quite often in the third episode, raised with reverence by the orcs who captured Arondir, his fellow elves, and countless humans from the Southlands.

When Arondir is taken by his captors to an unknown location in the Southlands, the orcs who took him comment on how he was brought “for Adar”, who later is described as Morgoth’s “successor”.

Adar is an Elvish word, exclaims Arondir, and in the Elvish language, Sindarin, the name means “father”, according to the Elvish Dictionary.

There are several characters in power rings who could possibly be Sauron in disguise, and Adar is a new addition to the list of suitors, especially since his name means “father”, which Sauron was likely to be thought of as by the orcs.

Arondir and his companions also wondered if the name could have been an alias used by the villain, so that’s another potential clue, but perhaps too obvious to prove true.

The character himself makes a dramatic entrance at the very end of the third episode, his orc followers bowing to him in respect and chanting his name as he walks towards Rounding through the tunnels where they keep their prisoners.

Rather than showing Adar’s face, the camera first focuses on his hand, which is gloved with a gauntlet of armor reminiscent of Sauron’s iconic look.

Then, when the camera shows Adar walking towards Arondir, it remains out of focus until the closing credits, showing only the hint of his pointy ears, suggesting that the character is in fact an elf.

Joseph Mawle portrays Adar, and this is only clear because his name is listed in the episode’s credits as previously the actor’s role was undisclosed.

Whether he will turn out to be Sauron or just an elf corrupted by him remains to be seen, but Adar is certainly a villain worth noting.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power airs Fridays on Prime Video.
