Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio Set to Join Marvel’s ‘Echo’ Series: Report

Late last year, fans of Marvel’s now-cancelled Netflix series were thrilled when two characters from those shows appeared in the MCU. First, Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk – aka the Kingpin – appeared in the Hawk Eye series on Disney+. And right after that, Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock made a cameo in Spider-Man: No Coming Home; while he appeared in his civilian identity and not in a Daredevil costume, there was a telltale sign that he had his alter ego’s radar senses.

In the daredevil The Netflix series, Murdock and Fisk were sworn enemies, and it looks like they could face off again, in the next Disney+ series, Echoaccording The Hollywood Reporter. They note that Marvel hasn’t commented on this. Echo, aka Maya Lopez, played by Alaqua Cox, was introduced in the Hawk Eye series. By Disney+, Echo will follow Maya Lopez, as her life in New York as a gang leader catches up with her and she returns to her hometown to reconnect with her Native American roots. She fought the Kingpin in the Hawk Eye finale after learning that he was responsible for the death of his uncle.

Another rumor on the show is that Murdock is looking for his former Defenders ally Jessica Jones (played by Krysten Ritter in two seasons of Jessica Jones and a season of The defenders). Yet another rumor has Cox/Murdock guest starring in upcoming Disney+ series, She-Hulk, lawyer. She-Hulk’s alter-ego, Jennifer Walters (played by Tatiana Maslany), like Matt Murdock, is a lawyer (according to the show’s title). This show will premiere on Disney+ on August 17; Echo does not yet have a start date.
