The television series “Chesapeake Shores” will once again be filmed in Parksville on Wednesday, June 22.
The production will take place at the Parksville Community Park in the afternoon near Arbutus Point. To accommodate equipment and trucks, parking spots near the point along Beachside Drive will be marked off earlier in the day and released as soon as filming wraps around 4 p.m.
In the evening, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., filming will take place at 162 Weld St. Parking spots along Weld Street and a few spots on the north side of Jensen Avenue East between Corfield and Weld will be allocated to “Chesapeake Shores.” These parking spaces will be available most of the day and businesses will be notified of the shooting.
As usual, the show will have security and traffic control personnel on site and signage will be posted at the entrance to the park and to demarcate areas along Weld and Jensen for production.
City of Parksville staff have indicated that they are aware this may be an inconvenience to park users and appreciate the public’s patience.
