High-tech electric shopping carts used by Paul McGinley seen by over a billion homes

A new golf TV series titled Golf’s Greatest Holes airs today on NBC Sports Next’s GolfPass with its presenters – former Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley and UK sportscaster Chris Hollins – featured using the latest electric caddies of main sponsor Motocaddy on some of the most famous golf courses in the world.

The six-part series, which has already received critical acclaim from major broadcasters in other parts of the world, features some of the biggest holes in Paul’s native Ireland and neighboring Northern Ireland.

“I had never used an electric caddy before this series, but I was blown away by how easy the Motocaddy models are to use and the technology available to help your game on the course is amazing,” said McGinley, who has sunk the famous winning a putt for Europe on his Ryder Cup debut in 2002 before claiming victory as captain at Gleneagles in 2014.

The first in a six-part series saw the duo tour the Emerald Isle using the latest Motocaddy M5 GPS and M7 REMOTE electric caddies, while co-presenter and avid golfer Chris carries the versatile HydroFLEX stand bag while playing world famous courses such as Royal County Down, Royal Portrush, Adare Manor and Lahinch, as well as hidden gems such as County Sligo and the beautiful and wild Carne Golf Links on the Atlantic Coast.

Each 30-minute show features up to six holes selected by Paul for their breathtaking views, as well as the challenge they present to golfers of all skill levels. Other courses that will appear in the first series include Ballyliffin, The K Club, Portmarnock, Portstewart, Rosapenna, Killarney, Waterville and Druid’s Glen.

All six episodes of the first series will be available on demand after already airing in the UK, Europe and Africa. The show is expected to be aired by more than 30 broadcasters around the world, reaching more than one billion homes in 189 countries over the next four years.

The spectacle was filmed through exclusive access to courses which were closed during the lockdown period last year, allowing the crew to capture stunning footage of spectacular Irish golf holes which have hosted major championships, a Ryder Cup and those presenting a weekly challenge to the everyday golfer. Combining super high definition 4k cameras and highly trained drone pilots, the courses were captured from every angle, truly showing off the best of Irish golf pedigree.
