We’ve seen it with other shows before this one, but the official decision on Sea.Hear.Now Festival in Asbury Park now requires all participants to present proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken 3 days before attending the festival. So in other words, you’d better plan if you haven’t vaxed.

This is a BIG event. It attracts over 50,000 people and with that kind of traffic there is a greater responsibility there. The headliners? Pearl Jam, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Billy Idol were recently announced. Not too bad.

People who organize such an important event do not want to be responsible for creating a dangerous environment, so they are confident in their decision. If you’re anti-vax, you at least have the option to show negative COVID, which is a lot more flexible than I thought. So if you go you need to prepare ahead and take the right timing … if you are not fully vaccinated, a negative COVID-19 test result should be on hand within 72 hours (3 days) following the first day. attend Sea.Hear.Now.

Of course, the CDC is now recommending everyone in New Jersey wear a mask due to the recent spike.

The concert is sold out which means there will be a LOT of people on Asbury Park beach on September 18th and 19th. There will also be a surfing contest and live performances by Patti Smith, The Avett Brothers and Patti Scialfa. Vax or test your choice, but make sure you have a plan in place so you don’t miss out on this stellar show!
