The cast of “Squid Game” wants to bring back dead characters for the show’s second season.
The South Korean dystopian drama was recently confirmed to be returning for a new set of episodes after a hugely successful debut on Netflix in 2021 and the show’s stars have some ideas for what they’ll see happen in the next installment. .
Lee Jung-jae, HoYeon Jung, Park Hae-soo, Kim Joo-ryeong and Anupam Tripathi walked the silver carpet together at the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards on Sunday (2/27/22), where they shared their hope to bring back some dead characters.
HoYeon told ‘Entertainment Tonight’ through a translator, “There are a lot of them, Lee Jung has some good ideas.
“So my idea is that maybe the masked men took them all and brought them back to life.”
HoYeon and Lee went on to take home the award for Outstanding Performance in a Drama Series at the ceremony and the couple admitted it was just an “honor” to be nominated.
Lee said: “It’s truly such an honor. I never imagined this day would come, and I can’t believe I’m going to be with all the stars I’ve seen on screen, and I I was just in awe.”
HoYeon, also known as Jung Ho-yeon, added, “It’s such an honor. It’s just an indescribable feeling. I can not even. I do not know. I really do not know. I couldn’t digest it.”
When she accepted her award later that evening, the 27-year-old actress was in tears.
She said via her interpreter, “First and foremost, thank you so much. I’ve sat around watching you on the big screen many times dreaming of one day becoming an actress. I just want to say thank you so much.”
She burst into English when she sent a brief message to her “‘Squid Game'” team.
She told them, “I love you.
